It was not meant to be a usual Wednesday fellowship night because a.) it was raining like crazy b.) ergo few attendees c.) but there was special food
But seriously, we were not there for any of that...
Hebrews 10:24-25
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another -- and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

A gift and an answered prayer
It was so peaceful.
I place I would sometimes imagine along the words "tranquil" and "ideal" and "God thank you".
And what perfect way to enjoy the place than to lie down by the beach, in a safe place from the sun, and just savor the breeze blowing nonstop. (Seriously, I gave up trying to tidy my hair as it kept getting blown any way.)
I set my alarm for 3.00pm, at which point some of my colleagues will return to Subic proper via bus, and I'm going to ride with them back to the main highway. But until then, I will have this peace and quiet.
Too bad I can only stare across the water for a couple of seconds and observe a fisherman setting up something because my eyes can't stand that much warmth. So I just satisfied myself with the nice wind, closed my eyes and tuned every human sound off.
<the peace and quiet mode continues...>
3.00pm woke me up (or was it the voice of my co-workers telling me to get in the van?)
いきなり? まさか!I was hoping to spend more time under that dilapidated nipa shade but I had to, sadly, bid goodbye to God's wonderful creation. Don't worry Zambales, I'll return. いつか。
On our way back, I was fervently praying to God that I would not have to enter that house (my former boss' house in Subic where I stayed during that trip) alone -- because of the huge scary dogs. Okay, I'm probably exaggerating here but you have to understand, I would describe pretty much any dog as such.
I got in the Olongapo-bound Victory bus with 2 of my co-workers who, after checking, apparently does not live anywhere near our boss' house. Well there goes my plan of begging for them to accompany me in entering the house safely. I was sitting there thinking, maybe I could ask the tricycle driver to help me call out Ate who could shoo the dogs away for me.
Little did I know that riding the exact same bus with me was someone who lives on the same house! Talk about an answered prayer.
(I changed my return trip so instead of getting home late at night, I arrived on the afternoon the next day. まあ。。。)
